If I were to choose the most powerful lesson that emerges from the work I do with clients, it is about the somatic experiencing
of feeling - at a visceral core level -
a sense of being loved and understood--
--of seeing oneself through the lens of a loving parent and then recreating life from that place of attentiveness.
I am learning this again for myself as I start over here in NC. I told my husband that it feels like a hundred puzzle pieces of my past are gradually coming back together in a different way as I create this new chapter of my life.
Remembering to mother ourselves can
take us deeply into that resting place of
peace and clarity.
