5 Ways to use Guided Imagery for unwinding each day

1. To "recalibrate" your nervous system during the day,
you can listen to a guided imagery audio-

and experience the benefits of  a 15 minute rejuvenating retreat into your unconscious .

2. To fall asleep replacing worry imagery with healing visualization-
you can listen right before you go to bed at night--
It helps to have your CD player or Ipod set up and ready ahead of time.

3. When you are getting ready for a medical procedure,

listen before, during (if allowed) and after to promote healing.

4. When you can't sleep and you awaken in the night--listen again--
it will help you refocus your mind on positive, healing,
relaxing messages so you can return to dreamland.

5.  Upon awakening , you can listen to a guided meditation as a prelude to your daily healing practice--of  journaling, walking, yoga, Tai Chi ,meditating, reading, drawing, praying etc.

"I play the personalized CD you made me every morning and every night.
I love it!    It is so relaxing and I know subliminally I am getting just the affirmations I want my subconscious mind to take in."

I think this video of young Emily Bear will inspire you.
She is an amazing pianist and composer.

She is a clear and open channel for receiving and sharing her musical gifts.
Her creative genius is wholeheartedly shared with humility and playfulness.
The end of the video is totally worth the time it takes to view
--it's about wishes coming true.

When I ask a client--
where is your healing place?

---many people choose the ocean as their haven of relaxation.

When you are in your healing place...
What kind of imagery do you connect with?
What is your style of imaging?
   Are you.....
visual
auditory
olfactory
or kinesthetic?

most of us have a couple  senses that are predominant in how we image.  The ocean can so easily captivate all of our senses.

After a recent trip to
an island off the NC coast
-
-here is what my senses felt- after a long winter in Minnesota...

The lovely photos  are offered by my husband.

Featured Poem: The Ocean

this audio may enhance your ocean experience!

The Ocean
The wind now trembles
as the waves crest and roll into infinity.
My soul rests in the loving arms of the Divine

Rising at day break-
and then with evening's entrance -

the fiery sun magically slips in and out of it's cradle in the shimmering horizon.

Pelicans soar... gracefully skimming the waves--
and my soul yearns to join their playful dance

The dolphins'  fins  re-surface
and then once again - submerge back into the blue depths--

as the delicious sounds of water -life
serenade my whole being.

My spirit is singing-
-as the fresh breeze enters me -

A moist inhale  bathing my parched lungs with the soothing salty sea air.

Thank you dear ocean for blessing me with your infinite waves of renewal

I am filled once again--
and trust that you will return each night to my healing place dreams.

Wishing for you this April......
a spring filled with hope, healing and creative inspiration.
